This Arrow was made from a Viburnum (Arrow-wood) shaft.
The shaft was oiled and heated on a very hot stove and then bent to straight. The arrow, made of bone was then cut and ground using rocks.
It was hafted using pitch glue (Part pitch, part charcoal, part rabbit poop). Finally, the arrow was wrapped with backstrap sinew from a Whitetail Deer. One this was done it was time to focus on the tailfeathers.
These are all from the same wing of the Turkey. They are twisted slightly to give the arrow good spin. Notice they too are attached with sinew. Also note the knock at the base of the arrow shaft.
