Laser cutting wood can be a tricky thing. Especially when the wood becomes thick like these 3/8″
thick Mahogany trivets. The images are laser engraved first. There are infinite design possibilities. Next the laser is set up in vector mode and run at full power with slow speed and plenty of air to prevent “flare-up”. One complete the trivets are cleaned and finished before getting “feet”. Finally they are ready for the kitchen table.
These tide clocks add some nautical class to the captains study. A Tide clock has only one hand and runs on the schedule of the moon. Set high tide on the day of the full moon and the clock should remain within a half hour of accurately displaying the tide throughout the month. These clocks have a SOLID black walnut frame and the clock face is cherry panelling with a photo-engraving of the “Atlantic” the 1905 Kaiser Cup Winning vessel which held the record for the fastest Atlantic crossing for many years. Our 50W laser system is capable of incredible resolution and image quality.
